The Tale Of The Perfect Moment

When I was in high school

I had a crush on this girl, Morgan

I held on to this crush, never mentioning it for the entire year

Then one day I came face to face with having to tell her how I really felt

She wasn't shocked or taken by surprise but

instead had simply smiled and said

"You waited too long"

That was the last I heard from her

I clung to this statement for years, trying to never be in the same position

where I constantly was searching for the perfect moment

Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way that the "perfect moment" doesn't exist

And that chasing a "perfect" moment

Meant potentially ruining a lot of the natural ones

As I waited too long, so she did too

Life's too short to wait for a perfect moment that probably won't come

Since then I learned that you can either live

with consequences or with regret

Ascension

Failure affects a person’s life greater than one may think

It tear you down

It can stagger you

But it can also strengthen you

Failure leaves room for improvement and ultimately success

Because without failing, success wouldn’t feel as remarkable

A Testament To The Naïve And Innocents

I find love contradicting. Love brightens beautifully like the sun in my life, but it also cast long shadows. Some days, I find myself somber, wandering aimlessly for what was love. I find myself in a pit of despair, wishing it again. But at the end, I realize what I had wasn’t love. True love refines life from its incurable sorrow. The only thing left will be happiness which I know I will find soon.
