The Tale Of The Perfect Moment

When I was in high school 

I had a crush on this girl, Morgan

I held on to this crush, never mentioning it for the entire year

Then one day I came face to face with having to tell her how I really felt

She wasn't shocked or taken by surprise but

instead had simply smiled and said

"You waited too long"

That was the last I heard from her

I clung to this statement for years, trying to never be in the same position

where I constantly was searching for the perfect moment

Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way that the "perfect moment" doesn't exist

And that chasing a "perfect" moment

Meant potentially ruining a lot of the natural ones

As I waited too long, so she did too

Life's too short to wait for a perfect moment that probably won't come

Since then I learned that you can either live

with consequences or with regret

A Testament To The Naïve And Innocents

I find love contradicting. Love brightens beautifully like the sun in my life, but it also cast long shadows. Some days, I find myself somber, wandering aimlessly for what was love. I find myself in a pit of despair, wishing it again. But at the end, I realize what I had wasn’t love. True love refines life from its incurable sorrow. The only thing left will be happiness which I know I will find soon.
